This week we have been using and developing our mathematical, scientific and design skills to work on a variety of projects and tasks.
Children in early years made fairy and bug houses, oceans in bottles and learnt about states of matter. Nursery enjoyed their experiment with Skittles to learn about colour.
Children in Year 1 learnt about the digestive system.
In Year 2 children made vehicles with wheels and axles as well as bird nests.
In Year 3 children researched and presented learning about key scientific figures and used their maths skills to present the results of their investigation into the strength of different magnets. They also produced a shadow dance.
In Year 4 children worked on their burglar alarms which combined design technology skills with making circuits.
Children in Year 5 made bug hotels and frame structures whilst in Year 6 children used technology to create augmentations.
We finished the week with a House challenge to design and make a tall and strong structure that would hold a 1kg weight.
