We were once again visited by South Oxhey Baptist Church in assembly. They told us the story of Paul and also about their forthcoming summer camp.
Later, Year 4 held their own Holi festival on the playground. Take a look at the photos below to see our colourful playground and faces!
In the evening it was the annual School Sports Partnership Awards evening. Louis received an award for outstanding sportsmanship and Joshua received an award for being an outstanding play leader. We were joined by Jade Jones MBE so it was a very exciting and inspirational event.
It was our annual music celebration this evening. Some of our musicians performed and we were all amazed and impressed by the progress the children have made. It was sad that for two of the children it was their last performance before they move on to Secondary School but what an honour it has been to see them go from strength to strength with their music over the years and become the talented musicians they are now. Well done everyone!
Thanks to Tom who sold ice lollies after school for the Worldwide Fund for Nature. Well done Tom and thank you for being so caring.
Mrs Nye led an assembly about England's match against Panama at the weekend. We talked about how the players were responsive rather than reactive-just like us at St Meryl!
Later, Year 6 were visited by 'Rocket in to the Future.' They led a workshop on enterprise. The children had to think about and explore ideas for how to generate money and make a profit.
