Year 3 went to South Oxhey Baptist Church as part of their learning in RE.
It's the start of Fair Trade fortnight so Mrs Geddes and some children did a play for the school in assembly about bananas and the importance of buying Fair Trade produce.
Years 3 and 6 went to the Colosseum to see the BBC Concert Orchestra perform '10 pieces.' It was inspirational. We learnt more about the orchestra and the different instruments that make up the orchestra. We also participated in a specially devised choral piece involving the orchestra and the other participating schools. It was amazing!
Year 5 went to see a special screening of the film 'Wonder.' It reminded us that it's good to be different and that difference should be celebrated. It made us think a lot about the kind of people we want to be and how we can work together to make the world a more tolerant and accepting place to be.
It was the turn of Year 2 to perform their class assembly to parents and the rest of the school. We were treated to dance, singing, drama, some science and some Spanish. Well done Year 2!
And it was World Book Day! Children came in to school dressed as a favourite book character or in their pyjamas. Mrs Geddes read 'One Snowy Day' in assembly as it really was a snowy day! Then later parents came in to read with their children.
