Week Commencing 4th May 2020
Hello Year 5!
It’s Miss Radha here! I hope you have all been keeping healthy, happy and safe. I’ve definitely been missing you all.
I will be updating your home-learning pages now that Mrs Zrihen has left and will continue to put up work every week. I’ve been keeping an eye on how much work you have all been submitting and I’ve been super impressed with all the awesome Maths, English, Science and Art pieces you have been creating - well done!
Please try and get through a little of each activity a day and if you can, send me your best pieces of work! There's no expectation for you to get all of the work done and it is totally fine for you to do some of your own activities as well.
This Friday (8th of May) is the 75th anniversary of VE Day. VE Day marks the end of World War II and is a historic day not just for the UK but the whole world. I have added a number of activities for you to do surrounding VE Day. There is a great video explaining VE Day a little more - please watch it! For creative writing this week, you could use the diary template and imagine you are a soldier. You could do your own research on VE Day and compile it in a poster! Perhaps you can find out the significance of the Poppy flower and World War II. Please send any work you have done on VE Day to me so it can be presented in our VE Day assembly!
If you have any questions, concerns, queries, or just want to say hello you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Excited to hear from you all,
Miss Radha 🌻
P.s Maybe some of you could write better lyrics for my ukulele and I for next week! Send me any ideas you might have.
