Here at St Meryl, children really are at the heart of everything we do. As a team, we work hard to make sure every child gets the very best we can offer; they deserve nothing less. We believe learning is a journey that lasts a lifetime, and we aim to nurture a love of learning that our pupils will carry with them as they grow into confident, curious citizens in an ever-changing world.

I feel incredibly proud and fortunate to be the Headteacher of such a unique school. What makes St Meryl special isn't just our values, but the positive, caring relationships that flow through every part of our community. It's a wonderful place to work and learn. I love being here, and I know our pupils and staff do too.

We were particularly pleased that our recent Ofsted inspection recognised the many strengths of our school. Inspectors found St Meryl to be meeting the expected standard in all areas and praised our broad and engaging curriculum, the positive attitudes of our pupils, our inclusive ethos and the strong sense of kindness, respect and community that runs throughout the school. They also confirmed that safeguarding standards are fully met and that pupils feel safe, happy and well supported. 

Education is a shared partnership between school and home, and at St Meryl we truly value the role families play. You will find lots of opportunities to be part of your child's learning journey, and we look forward to working with you to make sure they thrive both here and at home.
