Year 4

Hi Year 4!

w/c 19th October 2020

Friday is an Inset Day - so I will be in school but you will be at home and half term will begin!

We will continue to be grateful for food donations ahead of our virtual Harvest Assembly on Thursday.

On Thursday - it is 'Wear it Pink Day' to raise money for breast cancer research. In exchange for a £1 donation, you can wear non-school uniform, pink or other bright colours are perfect! We have P.E on Thursday but this week you won't need to wear P.E kit on Thursday.

Our learning theme for the week is the water cycle. We will carry out investigations and sing the 'Water Cycle Rap!'

In English, we finalise our rivers reports and write an explanation of the water cycle. Key vocabulary includes - evaporation (liquid water changing to water vapour), condensation (water vapour turning back into liquid).

In maths, we will focus on different methods of learning our times tables - including the 6, 7 and 9 times tables (you aren't expected to know these yet!)

P.E will be on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, children should wear their P.E kit to school on Tuesday (but not Thursday this week).

Thank you and best wishes.

Mr Walker
