Take a look at the photograph of an amazing headdress made by one of our star Year 6 pupils below! So talented!
Nursery and Reception made some clay faces today with natural materials. You can see some photos below but why don't you come and have a look at the trees in our woodland area to see the real things?
Tuesday
Today we found a starfish on the playground. Yes-a starfish! (With one leg missing!) Our current theory is that it was dropped from the mouth of a seagull flying over the playground. We brought it in to school and put it on our Eco Council display table.
Wednesday
Stay and Learn for parents of children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 today with a maths theme. See our photos below. Thanks for coming Mums, Dads and Grandparents!
Thursday
It was the turn of Year 2 to present their learning in their class assembly this morning. It was great-well done Year 2!
And, the best bit about today-the fire engine came back again to visit! Year 2 re-created the great fire on London by actually burning the houses they had made. It was

Week beginning 11th February
Fri 15 Feb 2019Tuesday
We were treated to a trampoline assembly today. Year 2 show-cased their skills as did those children who benefit from extra trampoline sessions with Mrs Benford. It was very impressive. Mackie did 100 tuck jumps in a minute! Wow!
Wednesday
We were visited by the fire engine at school today!
At staff meeting the teachers learnt how to do willow weaving so that they could teach it to the children!
Thursday
Year 4 boys attended the indoor athletics final after school at Royal masonic School. Although they didn't win they displayed excellent sporting behaviour and tried their very best. Well done boys!

Some of our most able mathematicians participated in a maths workshop in the Hall today with children from other schools in the area. They worked really hard and completed some really challenging problems and puzzles.

Today we celebrated Chinese New year!
Wednesday
On Wednesdays we have Mrs Giles in school teaching the violin. See pictures below.
Thursday
Year 2 is currently learning about life cycles and stages of growth in Science. Miss Pomfret brought in her toddler to meet the class and we asked her lots of questions about babies. Then Mr Miles, Mrs O'Brien, Miss Murphy and Mrs Pow (some of our parents) brought in their pre-school children so we could compare and contrast. Thanks Miss Pomfret and parents!
Friday
Year 4 participated in an Indian dance workshop today as part of their unit of work on India. It was brilliant!
And then it was golden time and Mr Joyce brought the tent INSIDE the dining room! It was so much fun. We also had children making fat balls for the birds and pom poms with Mrs Hameer. See our pictures below.
