Thu 24 Oct 2019We had an escapee Gingerbread person on Monday! He or she jumped out of the oven and ran away whilst Early Years were baking. Thankfully there was still enough for Mrs Geddes to have one and the children to take one home with them. Phew!
At staff meeting on Wednesday the teachers did some science experiments. Miss Gocher made a snowman.
And on Friday it was our Harvest assembly. The Hall was packed with parents and guests and everyone enjoyed singing our Harvest songs and seeing what Harvest learning children had brought to share. Fri 11 Oct 2019On Tuesday we welcomed visitors from UNICEF to the school. They spent the day meeting with staff, governors, parents and pupils to assess whether or not we meet the gold standard of the Rights Respecting Schools Award. We already hold the Silver award and now we are hoping to get gold. UNICEF was impressed with our school charter and all of the things we are doing to teach children about rights, how to respect rights and treat one another with dignity. We will find out in a few weeks if we have met the criteria. Fingers crossed! -
