Fri 20 Sep 2019We marked Jeans for Genes Day on Friday this week by wearing our jeans to school. Well done everyone!
Also on Friday Mrs Nye and Miss Pomfret led a phonics workshop for parents. Thanks for coming everyone!

Week beginning 8th July
Fri 12 Jul 2019We hosted our annual celebration evening this week to showcase all of the amazing learning that has taken place during the year. We sang to parents as they sampled school dinners in the Dining Room. Year 3 did a poetry recital and it was capture the flag on the playground.
On Friday Early Years had a visit from Mr Belldini the magician!
Then on Friday afternoon we all pitched tents on the field for our family camping event ready for a night under the stars.

Week beginning 1st July 2019
Thu 04 Jul 2019Years 1 and 2 visited London Zoo on Wednesday. They saw lots of animals and participated in an educational workshop to learn more about mammals, reptiles and birds. See our pictures below! -
Sports Day 2019
Thu 04 Jul 2019We had a wonderful sports day on the 28th June. All of the children worked well in their teams and showed great sporting attitudes. Well done to the Blue House for winning this year!

Week beginning 10th June
Wed 19 Jun 2019This week was arts week!
The children have been enjoying learning through the arts and created some stunning work.
On Monday children participated in music workshops, playing the ukuleles and singing. There was also a performance from the Contemporary Dance club.
On Tuesday we were treated to a performance of 'Jack Masterson and the Case of Absurdity' by our Drama club. It was brilliant!
Also on Tuesday Will and Katie visited the Arts Society meeting in Rickmansworth with Mrs Geddes to deliver a presentation about our recent living willow weaving project.
On Thursday children in Years 5 and 6 competed in the K-Nex Challenge after Nursery presented their learning at their class assembly.
Thursday evening we held our annual music evening and were treated to performances from our violinists, pianists, recorder players, our guitarist and the orchestra.
On Friday we had a dance festival.
All of the children in the school made an insect from mixed-media during the week.
It was a wonderful week.

Week beginning 3rd June
Mon 10 Jun 2019The week began with a visit from one of the planners of the annual Purple Patch running event. He inspired us to take part in the forthcoming race and talked about the importance of keeping fit and healthy.
Elsewhere teachers were busy planning learning opportunities and events for our arts week next week.
